Announcements

New York State’s Dignity for All Students Act (also known as The Dignity Act or DASA) seeks to provide the State’s public elementary and secondary school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment, and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.
Effective December 31, 2013, all applicants for New York State Teacher Certification are required to complete six clock hours of coursework or training in accordance with Article 2 Sections 10-18 of the Education Law. Green Chimneys is one of several training providers approved by the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
Part One is provided via Google Classroom for independent completion. Part Two is a live webinar conducted via Zoom. The Google Classroom module must be completed prior to participating in the live webinar.
Please submit your interest by completing the form below. You will be contacted by Green Chimneys to officially register for the workshop.
Cancellation policy: In order to receive a refund, you must communicate your cancellation to Ed Dalpe at least 24 hours prior to the workshop.
Upon completion of the workshop: Green Chimneys will report your completion electronically to NYSED. Check your TEACH account to see if the workshop requirement has been met. For more information, please visit the NYSED Office of Training Initiatives website.

Dixie is only 40 inches tall but she has a big heart! This 21-year-old Shetland pony is very popular with Green Chimneys students and staff. Her sweet and affectionate disposition is easy to see – she’ll come over to the fence just to say hello and get rubbed. Dixie loves playing with our miniature horses Ari and Dinky and enjoys doing pony rides for our smaller riders, especially the Nature’s Nursery preschoolers.
